Tax for firms

We can talk about direct and indirect taxes.

The most common indirect tax is the IVA (VAT tax), which is charged on the consumption. The firm has to present every month or every three months a tax return stating the taxes collected from it’s clients, deducting the IVA taxes paid during the exercise of the activity.

Tax law is the codified system of laws that describes government levies on economic transactions, commonly called taxes.

As a direct tax the firm has to pay every three months either Company tax (Impuesto sobre sociedades), if it’s a company, or Income tax if we are talking about a self-employed person.

There are more taxes, this is a very complex matter. Apart from that we are not just talking about tax returns, also it is often necessary to reply legal queries or pass a tax inspection.
